AI and the Human Connection

Insights from the AI Portland Event

At Covenant, we are always seeking opportunities to expand our knowledge and stay ahead of the curve in emerging technologies. At the beginning of January, members of our team attended an AI Portland meeting with the primary goal of deepening our understanding of artificial intelligence. We certainly achieved that, but what surprised us most was how much we learned about ourselves in the process.

The Power of Human Connection in Technology

The event was filled with thought-provoking discussions about the latest advancements in AI, its applications, and its impact across industries like cybersecurity, healthcare, education, and business. However, as we engaged in conversations with other attendees, we were reminded of something profound—the power of human connection.

Had an amazing time at AI Portland! The atmosphere was fantastic, the speakers were insightful, and it was inspiring to see how AI is making a positive impact across so many different walks of life—from healthcare to education, business, and beyond. Definitely a must-visit for anyone interested in the future of AI!

The room was packed! And to me, that was a clear indication that people—especially small and medium-sized businesses—are eager to network, have meaningful conversations, and build a community. AI is an exciting topic, but events like AI Portland remind us that human connection and collaboration are just as valuable.

While AI continues to revolutionize the way we work and interact with technology, it’s human creativity, authenticity, and innovation that truly captivate us. We are natural problem-solvers. We bring context, emotion, and nuance to every interaction. And despite AI’s ability to process vast amounts of data and automate complex tasks, it’s the human element—the ability to connect, collaborate, and create—that drives meaningful progress.

This realization highlighted an important need: small businesses and professionals require more opportunities to network, share ideas, and generate innovation. Events like AI Portland are not just about learning the latest AI trends; they’re about building genuine relationships with people who inspire new ways of thinking. These conversations are where ideas take shape, partnerships form, and the next wave of innovation begins.

Looking Ahead: Bridging Technology and Human Ingenuity

At Covenant Technology Solutions, Inc. and Covenant Global, we are passionate about leveraging technology to empower businesses. However, our enthusiasm for AI does not overshadow our appreciation for the remarkable potential of human ingenuity.

A big thank you to Nicole Mors & Megan Notarte from AI Portland for another insightful and engaging event. We look forward to future discussions, collaborations, and opportunities to continue bridging the gap between technology and human connection.
