Covenant at TAO And Women in Tech Event
At Covenant Technology Solutions, Inc., we believe that fostering a more inclusive and diverse tech industry requires action, advocacy, and allyship. That’s why we were proud to have Ryan Choquette and Ruth Carrica represent the Covenant team at the Technology Association of Oregon And Women in Tech event. They engaged in meaningful conversations about diversity, leadership, and the role of collaboration in shaping the future of technology.

Celebrating Women’s Impact in Tech
This year’s event, hosted by Trimble Inc. and organized by Technology Association of Oregon, was especially significant as it aligned with Women’s History Month. The event highlighted the remarkable contributions of women in high-impact tech roles while fostering an inclusive environment for growth and leadership.
From developers and solution architects to software development engineer in test, product managers, sales engineers, and professional service leaders, the event showcased the success stories of women driving innovation and transforming the industry.
Breaking Barriers & Supporting One another
One key discussion centered on the importance of helping each other grow in an industry that thrives on collaboration. During the panel discussion, Diane Haines shared a thought-provoking insight that resonated deeply:
“We are the leaders we’ve been waiting for. When we let go of our expectations of being flawless, we create space for the next generation of leaders to grow confidently in their own way.”
This sentiment was further echoed by Ellen Black Noel, who emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives thrive
“Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. The best ideas come from diverse teams where people feel empowered to bring their whole selves to the table.“
Their words reinforced how mentorship, professional relationships, and community support can open doors for individuals at every stage of their careers. Whether through offering guidance, making meaningful connections, or simply amplifying someone’s voice in the workplace, helping others succeed creates a stronger, more dynamic industry for everyone.
