Meet Ryan – Driving Success Through Connection and Dedication
As we kick off the new year, we are excited to spotlight Ryan Choquette as our Associate Spotlight for January. Ryan has been an integral part of Covenant Technology Solutions, inc. since 2016, bringing his exceptional technical expertise and unwavering commitment to every project he undertakes.
One of Ryan’s standout contributions was his work on-site in Kihei, Hawaii, during the grand opening of the Kai Tower, a boutique hotel part of the Paramount Hotels family. The project required meticulous attention to detail and tireless effort to restore and optimize the hotel’s tech infrastructure, including managing miles of wiring behind the scenes. His dedication played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this high-profile event.

Ryan’s journey with the company, professional insights, and personal milestones showcase his dedication and impact on our team. In a Q&A session, we will dive into his story.
Q: Can you briefly overview your career path and how you arrived at your current position?
R: I graduated from Oregon State University in 2016, and after taking the summer off, I started as a Service Desk Assistant in October of the same year. My initial responsibilities were answering phones, assisting customers with creating service tickets and receiving office deliveries.
After about a year, I transitioned into a Service Technician role. Another year later, I began assisting Account Managers and handling some procurement responsibilities. By 2021, I fully took over Procurement, and I’ve been managing this role ever since!

Q: What do you find most rewarding about your role?
R: The most rewarding part of my role is the opportunity to work with and form relationships across multiple departments. Procurement touches every part of the company, so I help everyone move forward. It’s also fulfilling to see how my work impacts the broader team.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in the coming year, both professionally and personally?
R: Professionally, I’m excited about upscaling Covenant’s reach in cloud licensing, mainly focusing on AI. I’m eager to see how this technology can propel our company and customers forward.
Personally, I’m getting married this September to a lovely, beautiful, and kind woman. While planning a wedding is a lot of work, I know spending the rest of my life with her will be the greatest adventure I could ask for!
Q: How do you handle challenges and setbacks at work?
R: In Procurement, the biggest challenges often involve tight timelines for securing products or licenses, coordinating deliveries to multiple client locations, or dealing with out-of-stock items. I handle these situations by being flexible and tenacious. I want to know which vendors have specific products and who can deliver them quickly. Some vendors have warehouses in different parts of the U.S., so knowing that helps me stay efficient. I turn to my teammates for their expertise if needed—collaboration is key.

“I love his sense of humor, and he is always a pleasure to be around. When we were in the office, his unboxing skills and box fort-making skills were excellent. He is always willing to take feedback and make changes.”
